About Me.

Life and technology move so fast that trying to leverage one (technology) to simplify the other (life) becomes overwhelming. I started MJC Technologies in March 2024 for this very reason; to leverage my own passion for custom technology products and services with what I saw as a need to enable others to effectively leverage modern technologies to simplify day-to-day activities. 

 

Hi, I'm Micah. I've spent the past 15 years working in corporate settings within technology focused industries. Before that I practiced law for a couple different Governor's administrations. I teach online college courses. I once moved to New Mexico thinking I was going to be a bounty hunter. I spent a few years as a professional wrestling manager. I built a weight sensor in my liquor cabinet that sends text messages to my phone and audio warnings over speakers in Tyrion Lannister's voice so I know if my kids or their friends are messing with my beverages (I also like hearing Lord Tyrion's voice). All true.

 

I guess my point is I've done a fair amount of things in life but nothing captures my attention quite like building things around evolving technologies. I'm a self-taught coder and life-long DIY hobbyist and tinkerer, which basically means I messed up a lot of times trying to figure things out for myself before I discovered I might have something to offer you. I believe technology should work for you, not against you. I generally don't like being forced to give my personal data to big corporations or being locked into controlled ecosystems where my online apps, products, and systems are unnecessarily prevented from interacting with each other.

I am not Google, Apple, or Amazon. I don't have thousands of software engineers and developers on my payroll. I do though have a decent understanding of modern technologies, their relevance in making everyday life more efficient, and a commitment to supporting people I work with.
